KDPXchange
Ever had a mad idea on Sunday morning, sketched on the back of an envelope? That’s how KDPXchange started, although the seeds were sown much earlier in conversation with Jane Mann and Judi Clements. The idea? To make life hassle free for consultants who hate doing back office stuff like finance, marketing and tenders, and create a body of shared skills and experience to promote to clients. The reality? Brilliant, except it didn’t last. Individual v group identity became a real issue for people, and the credit crunch put paid to the experiment. A good idea ahead of its time? Only time will tell. I learnt some invaluable lessons though; so if you’re considering expanding or going into partnership, I’d be delighted to share my experience.
